How does the program work?

The Mayo Clinic Diet Proven Process:

Members who stick to The Lose it Phase for the first 2-3 weeks can lose anywhere between 6-10 lbs

To begin, we will help you determine your goal weight and BMI, set a calorie target, and select your customizable meal plan. You will also gain access to tools like the Mayo Clinic Diet app, your personalized habit tracker, group coaching, how-to videos, our Facebook group, a food and exercise journal, weight tracker, and more!

Learn how to dine out, vacation, manage all of the stresses of life while sticking to your new healthy habits

Get the best results by using the tools daily, particularly the food tracker, weight tracker and meal plans. In this phase you can expand your menu options by trying a new Mayo Clinic Diet meal plan, or if you feel comfortable, using our tools like group coaching to start freestyling your meals.

Stay healthy with the Mayo Clinic Diet; it’s built for you for life.

After 6 months on the program, we ask you to focus on staying accountable for maintaining the weight loss and habits you’ve worked so hard for. You will spend 5 days in the month “back on the program”. This means 5 days of logging into the Mayo Clinic Diet, tracking food and drinks, recording your habits, etc.
Your health journey doesn’t stop here… the Mayo Clinic Diet is built for you for life.

As you continue on your health journey, make sure you are testing out new things to keep you inspired! Spice up your daily meals by trying any of Mayo Clinic Diet’s 7 meal plans and seasonal recipes, or use the tried and true tools like your habit tracker, and group coaching to stay on track. Anytime you need to reset or come back to the plan, we are here to support you every step of the way...
